Welcome to rebuildURbody.
rebuildURbody is a private, educational community for people who want to better understand complex health information, reflect on their own situation, build practical self-advocacy skills, and make sustainable changes that support their wellbeing.
This is a founding-stage community. It is a space for shared learning, respectful discussion, practical resources and encouragement—not perfection, pressure or competing health claims.
These Community Guidelines apply to all community areas, including posts, comments, direct messages where enabled, live sessions, recordings, chat, downloadable resources, events and interactions between members.
By joining or participating in rebuildURbody, you agree to follow these Guidelines as well as our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Health Information Disclaimer and any applicable purchase or membership terms.
1. What this community is—and is not
rebuildURbody is a peer-based educational community.
It is a place to:
* learn from evidence-informed educational resources;
* reflect on your own experiences;
* discuss general questions about navigating health information;
* share what has helped you feel more organised, informed or supported;
* prepare for more productive conversations with qualified healthcare professionals;
* connect respectfully with people who may understand aspects of your experience; and
* take part in community resources, discussions and live educational sessions.
It is not:
* a medical, clinical, diagnostic or treatment service;
* a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional;
* a place to obtain individualised medical recommendations;
* a crisis, emergency, mental-health or counselling service;
* a place to diagnose another member, interpret their test results or direct their treatment; or
* a guarantee of any particular health, treatment, symptom, personal or other outcome.
The community founder, moderators and contributors do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, therapy, counselling or emergency support.
If you need urgent help, contact an appropriate healthcare professional, emergency service or crisis service. In Australia, call Triple Zero (000) in an emergency. For non-emergency health advice, you can contact healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
2. Be respectful and constructive
Treat every member with dignity.
You may disagree, share a different experience or ask a difficult question. Do so without attacking, humiliating, dismissing, pressuring or trying to control another person.
Do:
* speak from your own experience;
* use “I” language where possible;
* assume good intent while maintaining clear boundaries;
* make room for different backgrounds, bodies, circumstances, beliefs, diagnoses and healthcare experiences;
* offer encouragement without making promises;
* ask before giving input on something personal;
* respect a member’s decision not to disclose more than they want to share; and
* keep discussion focused on learning, reflection, practical support and shared respect.
Do not:
* harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, shame, ridicule or insult another person;
* use discriminatory, hateful, racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, religiously hostile or otherwise degrading language;
* dismiss someone’s experience with statements such as “it is all in your head,” “you just need to try harder,” or “you caused this yourself”;
* use fear, guilt, panic, conspiracy claims or emotional pressure to influence another member’s health decisions;
* engage in repeated unwanted contact, unwanted direct messages or hostile debate;
* post graphic, disturbing or unnecessarily detailed content that may be harmful or distressing to others; or
* post content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise inappropriate.
We may remove content that breaches these standards and may restrict or end access for serious or repeated breaches.
3. No personal medical advice or treatment direction
You may share your own experience. You may not present your experience as a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, instruction or guarantee for another person.
Do not:
* diagnose another member;
* tell another member that they do or do not have a particular condition;
* interpret pathology, imaging, genetic information, medical records or test results;
* tell someone to start, stop, increase, reduce or change a prescription medicine, supplement, treatment, test or procedure;
* tell someone to avoid, delay or disregard professional medical care;
* claim that a particular diet, supplement, protocol, therapy, product, practitioner or lifestyle change will cure, reverse, prevent or treat a condition;
* promote unproven, dangerous, illegal or high-risk treatments;
* make claims that a person’s condition is caused by a single factor without appropriate evidence;
* pressure another member to purchase a product, test, programme or service; or
* use the community to seek or give emergency advice.
A safer way to share is:
“This is what I experienced. It may not apply to you. I discussed my options with my healthcare professional.”
A safer way to respond is:
“That sounds difficult. A qualified clinician who understands your situation may be best placed to help you work through that.”
4. Protect privacy and confidentiality
People may share sensitive information in rebuildURbody. Treat that information as private.
You must not, without the person’s explicit permission:
* copy, screenshot, photograph, record, download or screen-capture community posts, comments, messages, live sessions or recordings;
* share, quote, repost, publish or discuss another member’s story outside the community;
* share another member’s name, contact details, location, photographs, video, voice, health information, messages or identifying details;
* tag, identify or contact a member outside the community based on information they have shared here;
* use another member’s experience in your own content, business, research, education, promotion or social-media activity; or
* ask another member to disclose identifying, clinical or deeply personal information.
You control what you choose to share. Before posting, consider whether you would be comfortable with the relevant members of the community seeing the information.
Do not post:
* medical records;
* pathology, imaging or genetic-test reports;
* personal identifying details such as address, phone number, email address, date of birth, Medicare number, health fund details or account details;
* identifying information about a clinician, employer, family member, child, partner or another person who has not consented;
* photographs or videos of another person without their permission; or
* information that could place you or another person at risk.
We will take reasonable steps to moderate the community, but we cannot guarantee that every member will comply with these Guidelines. If you become aware of a privacy concern, report it to us promptly.
5. No selling, solicitation or promotion
rebuildURbody is not a marketplace, advertising channel or lead-generation group.
Do not use the community to:
* sell products, services, treatments, supplements, tests, courses, coaching, appointments or programmes;
* promote a business, social-media account, podcast, newsletter, affiliate link, discount code, fundraising campaign or referral scheme;
* recruit people into a separate group, programme, research project, clinical trial, business opportunity or mailing list;
* ask members to contact you privately for paid or unpaid services;
* send unsolicited direct messages;
* post affiliate links, referral links or discount codes; or
* promote a specific therapeutic product, practitioner or commercial provider.
You may mention a general resource that genuinely helped you only if it is relevant, non-promotional, does not make treatment claims and does not pressure other members to use it. Moderators may remove any post or comment that appears promotional, misleading or unsuitable.
If you would like us to consider a resource, expert, book, organisation or topic for the community, contact us at [insert support email] rather than promoting it in a member discussion.
6. Keep contributions accurate and responsible
You do not need to be an expert to participate. You do need to be honest about the limits of what you know.
When sharing information:
* distinguish personal experience from established evidence;
* avoid presenting social-media claims, anecdotes or single studies as settled fact;
* identify uncertainty where appropriate;
* link to credible sources where you are making a factual claim that others may rely on;
* avoid sensational language or claims designed to alarm others;
* do not share misinformation, conspiracy theories or unverified claims as fact; and
* remember that another person’s health circumstances may be materially different from yours.
We may add context, limit comments, edit for clarity where technically possible, remove content or direct members to more appropriate resources where a post contains misinformation, unsafe claims or misleading health information.
7. Participate safely in live sessions
Live sessions may be educational, interactive and recorded.
Before participating, remember:
* your name, voice, image, chat messages and contributions may be seen or heard by other attendees;
* if recording is enabled, your contributions may be included in the recording;
* recordings may be available to other authorised members, as explained in the relevant Course or Community terms;
* you may keep your camera and microphone off and avoid sharing identifying details if you prefer;
* do not record, screenshot, download, reproduce, distribute or republish any part of a live session without written permission; and
* do not share another participant’s contribution outside the session.
I
f you have a privacy concern about a live session, contact [insert support email] before the session where possible.
8. Respect boundaries and do not rely on direct messages
Direct messages, if enabled, are not a private clinical support channel and are not moderated in the same way as public community spaces.
Do not:
* send unsolicited advice, treatment recommendations or product links;
* pressure another member to continue a conversation privately;
* request identifying information, medical records, photographs or intimate details;
* use direct messages to promote a business, service or affiliate link;
* send abusive, sexually inappropriate, threatening or harassing messages; or
* contact a member outside the platform unless they have clearly invited that contact.
If you receive a message that makes you uncomfortable, you may stop responding, use platform blocking or reporting functions, and report the issue to us.
9. Moderation and enforcement
We want rebuildURbody to be a useful, calm and safe environment. Moderation is part of maintaining that standard.
We may, at our reasonable discretion:
* remove, hide, edit, limit or close posts or comments;
* disable direct-message access or other features where available;
* issue a reminder or warning;
* ask you to revise or remove content;
* temporarily suspend your access;
* permanently terminate your membership or access;
* preserve information where necessary to investigate a serious breach, protect members or comply with law; and
* report conduct to the platform, police, eSafety Commissioner or another appropriate authority where required or appropriate.
We may take immediate action without prior notice where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect a person’s safety, privacy, legal rights, the security of the community or the integrity of the platform.
Where appropriate and practicable, we will explain moderation action and provide an opportunity to correct a breach.
Repeated, serious or deliberate breaches may result in termination of access without a refund, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. How to report a concern
Report any concern, including harassment, privacy breaches, unsafe claims, exploitation, unwanted contact, promotional activity or content that may put someone at risk.
Contact us at:

11. Our boundaries as community hosts
We will engage with the community as described in the relevant membership or Founding Member Bundle offer. However, we cannot guarantee:
* a particular number of active members;
* a minimum number of posts, comments, events, resources or live sessions;
* a specific response time;
* that every question will receive a response;
* the accuracy or suitability of member-generated content;

* that the community will replace professional, clinical or personal support.
The community may grow and change over time. We may add, change or remove resources, events, features, moderators, formats or technology where reasonably necessary, subject to your applicable consumer rights and the terms of your membership or purchase.
